Middle school students at CEC South have been learning to build and program robots to navigate a course they created. This hands-on experience blended creativity, engineering, and problem-solving while introducing students to future technology. With guidance from Ms. Bays, students have explored robotics basics like coding, sensors, and design. They worked together to build robots that can handle tasks like avoiding obstacles or completing challenges. The program’s highlight has been testing their robots on the course they designed, featuring turns, barriers, and objectives. Seeing their robots succeed has brought excitement and pride to these young innovators. Beyond technical skills, the program boosts confidence, teamwork, and critical thinking, inspiring students to explore STEM fields. Way to go!
