The Clermont County Educational Service Center hosted board members from Connect Clermont and the University of Cincinnati’s DAAP Planning Studio senior students as they presented their individual projects to the Agenda for the Future 2035 steering committee. These seniors shared innovative strategies aimed at optimizing growth and development throughout Clermont County. 📈🌱
By utilizing case studies and public state data, the students developed actionable suggestions for enhancing agriculture and community building. This collaboration provided a fantastic opportunity for them to apply their academic skills to real-world scenarios while offering community leaders fresh perspectives that will serve them well during their upcoming co-op semesters. 💼👏
The Clermont County Educational Service Center hosted the Principal Leadership Collaborative team for a productive joint session with elementary and secondary representatives. The group engaged in thoughtful discussions regarding effective leadership strategies, reflecting on successes from the 25/26 school year and identifying areas for growth.
Looking ahead to the 26/27 school year, the team collaborated on ways to improve the back-to-school experience and navigate upcoming challenges. We are excited to announce that CCESC will launch a new Pre-Apprenticeship Program next year, offering high school students hands-on, career-focused experience in their fields of interest. Additionally, the group reviewed new attendance protocols in partnership with the Juvenile Court, focusing on collaborative, supportive strategies to ensure every student has the resources they need to succeed and remain in school while clarifying the responsibilities of the school districts and the process of working with the Court.
The Clermont County Educational Service Center hosted the second annual “Celebration of Excellence in Education Awards” on April 21st at the Norlyn Manor in Batavia. Over two hundred attendees were present for the event honoring teachers, support staff, and students from the nine public school districts in Clermont County, two career centers, the Clermont County Board of Developmental Disabilities, and the Clermont County Educational Service Center. The theme for the event was “Clermont County–Our foundation is strong and our future is bright”.
Clermont County is served by 9 high performing public school districts, 2 vocational schools, a County Board of Developmental Disabilities, and an Educational Service Center. These schools also serve as the hub and heart of their communities filled with activities that help communities thrive. The teachers and staff of these schools serve as the strong foundation for students, families, communities, and the nation's future. Clermont schools and staff are preparing students for the workforce in creative and innovative ways.
