NON-PUBLIC INSTRUCTIONAL SERVICES (AUXILIARY TEACHERS)

Auxiliary Services (non-public instructional services) for nonpublic schools are authorized and governed by ORC 3317.024 and 3317.06. These laws require public school districts to provide auxiliary and/or remedial services to eligible students with disabilities whose families have chosen to enroll them in a nonpublic school.

The CCESC staffs auxiliary teachers to requesting local districts where nonpublic schools are located. Our auxiliary teachers are licensed intervention specialists who provide supplementary instruction to complement regular classroom instruction. Our teachers provide intervention and remediation aligned to the student’s Service Plan (SP) targeting areas of need which often include reading and math assistance.
