School Psychological Services

The Clermont County Educational Service Center (CCESC) School Psychological Services Department is committed to promoting the educational success and mental health development of students through collaboration with families and school personnel. We are dedicated to advocating on behalf of all children and youth by teaming with educators, parents, and other mental health professionals to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments.

School psychologists are highly trained in both psychology and education. They hold a Master’s degree, Educational Specialist degree, or a Doctorate and are licensed by the state of Ohio to practice in schools. School Psychologists provide counseling, instruction and mentoring for those students experiencing academic, behavioral and mental health concerns. They increase student achievement by assessing barriers to learning and determining the best instructional strategies to improve learning. School Psychologists promote student wellness and resilience by reinforcing communication and life skills, problem solving, anger management, self-regulation, self-determination and optimism. Some of the other services provided by school psychologist include, but are not limited to:

  • Data-based decision making and accountability
