PARAPROFESSIONALS

The paraprofessional (also referred to as educational assistants or instructional aides) exists to support classroom teachers and students in the day to day operations of the classroom. These individuals work under the direction of the classroom teacher to carry out assigned tasks that may include, but is not limited to, data-collection, and providing academic, instructional, physical, behavioral and medical supports to students. Paraprofessionals are often assigned to a classroom to provide global support for the teacher and all students in that classroom or to attend to one student as specified in the student’s IEP.

All Clermont County ESC paraprofessionals are highly qualified and hold an educational aide permit through the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce.
