Walk-Throughs

Structured learning walks through buildings and classrooms focused on student learning. These walk-throughs may be based on criteria focused on the general climate for learning or may be customized to focus on particular content or grade level(s).  Walk-throughs may be conducted independently by consultants or in partnership with district/building leaders sharing the experience.

Benefits to Districts:

  • Use data collected to
  1.  guide professional development decisions and improvement planning
  2.  inform professional growth plans for teachers and principals
  3.  identify instructional materials needed
  4.  monitor implementation of initiatives and/or improvement plans
  5.  assess the culture for learning in a school or classrooms
