Home Education is education that is directed by the parent or guardian of a child who has been excused from attending school. The parent or guardian selects the curriculum and educational materials and takes responsibility for educating the child. There is no state financial assistance for families who choose this option.
Home education is recognized by section 3321.04 of the Ohio Revised Code and section 3301-34 of the Ohio Administrative Code.
The Clermont County Educational Service Center processes Home Education Notifications for the following local schools: Batavia, Bethel-Tate, Clermont Northeastern, Felicity-Franklin, Goshen, West Clermont, and Williamsburg.
Upon completion of the presented Home Education Notification Form or letter of intent to Homeschool, a letter of acknowledgement will be sent to the homeschooled family and to the school district in which they reside. The notification information must meet the State of Ohio Home Education requirements.
Home Education Notification Form (required) or letter of intent to Homeschool may be mailed or hand-delivered to CCESC.
