Entry Year Program |
The entry year program
is designed to help first year teachers complete a structured mentoring
program as well as to pass their Praxis III assessment.
The mentoring
program will help entry year teachers walk through the
Ohio FIRST program
with their mentors. Ohio FIRST mimics the Praxis III
giving these
teachers an advantage to score well on their actual assessment. Praxis
III will occur anywhere from January through May. The entry year
teacher
has input into the date, time, and class to be observed. Upon
successful
completion of the mentoring program and
the Praxis III
assessment, the first year teacher may then apply for a
five-year license.
