  Baldrige:

Teacher-Student Partnerships

Course Description:

High performing organizations are all founded on “quality” principles and strategies.  This course teaches the strategies and tools that will bring “quality” to the classroom.  Data has shown that teachers and students who engage in quality practices achieve results of higher academic achievement, less discipline problems, and more effective class processes.  Participants address a systems approach to quality, the leadership role of the teacher, and classroom strategies that cause students to be actively engaged in their own learning.  Examples from classrooms who are using quality practices are highlighted.

Presenters:  The Clermont County ESC Quality Classroom Team is pleased to present Teacher-Student Partnerships. Meri Johnson, Stan Laferty, Beth Muskopf, Barb Weidus and Jane Zachman have worked with schools throughout the SW Ohio region and will share successful practices they have observed as teachers implement the processes learned in Teacher-Student Partnerships.
