CCESC Google Apps Academy

A new professional development offering for school districts wishing to enhance their teachers’ knowledge and skills with using technology to engage students in learning.  The Academy focuses on the use of Google Apps such as Google Docs, Sheets, Drive, Forms, and Google Classroom.  Participants will engage in hands-on application of the tools to create lessons, assessments, learning activities, and more.  Additionally, they will learn how to search more efficiently for web-based resources, set up in-class and out-of-class protocols to support independent learning, to communicate and share instructional strategies with colleagues, and to maximize student capacity and productivity in an innovative classroom..  The Google Apps Academy training is a levels-based curriculum focused on using technology  in the classroom to support the core academic curriculum.  This multi-day professional development will be staggered allowing time for practice and application.  Look for these opportunities soon!
