RAAC Paraprofessional Training

Date: Friday February 17, 2017, CCESC Blue Room 8:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m., $25. The Regional Autism Advisory Council presents an overview of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and effective strategies to employ when working with students with ASD. How to Utilize Small Groups and Differentiated Instruction 6 hours Presented by Jacki Leader
Date: February 17, 2017, CCESC Room 103 8:30-3:30, $50. This presentation will focus on how to utilize small groups in an Early Childhood setting. The first part of the workshop will discuss the benefits of using small groups in your classroom. The session will then discuss how to design effective small groups and ways to group children. The final part of session will explore the concept of differentiated instruction and how to use it in your classroom. (Ohio/SUTO approved) Register here.

Using the Interest of the Children to Plan 3 hours Presented by Jacki Leader

Date: March 20, 2017, CCESC Blue Room 12:30-3:30, $50. Learn what the Approaches to Learning are and how they impact a child’s interests. Discover how to use observational information to understand what interests a child.  Explore ways to implement the children’s interests in daily lesson plans and for long term projects.
